PEOPLE ARE NATURAL MIMICS--TEACH THEM TO SEE

New athletes desiring to become weightlifters will imitate what they see.  Unfortunately they can only see parts of what is taking place during a lift.  Hence they mimic certain movements, but not all even though all of them must be performed synergistically to perform a proficient lift.

It is the function of the coach to teach new weightlifters to see.

If a coach cannot see all that occurs during a lift then she or he needs to spend the time necessary to master the skill of seeing.  Then and only then can the coach provide the guidance necessary to improve the weightlifting vision of the athlete.
